Edelman Melbourne hires Trevor Young, David Park following acquisition

MELBOURNE - Edelman has announced the appointment of Trevor Young and David Park to its Melbourne office, bolstering the agency’s presence in the Victorian market and on the East Coast.

The acquisition of boutique communications firm Parkyoung brings its principals Trevor Young and David Park into the Edelman Melbourne office. Consultant Kimberly Lee also joins.

Young joins Edelman Melbourne as director of strategy and innovation, while Park has been named director of corporate.

Trevor Young, the founder of Spark Communications, and David Park, formerly Foster’s Group corporate affairs, add new breadth to the Edelman Melbourne offer, in particular expanding its brand marketing, digital and social media capabilities.

Edelman Australia CEO Michelle Hutton, said, “We’re delighted to be welcoming our new colleagues into Edelman Australia. We’re pleased to be investing in senior hires. Today’s announcement reflects the momentum we’re building in the market.”  

“Our Melbourne business is important for our national footprint and we’ll continue to invest in expanding our national reach,” added Hutton.
