The announcement marks Euro RSCG's increased investment in the Singapore market, and aim to solidify leadership for their next phase of growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Matthew Fanshawe, Asia Pacific managing director, said: "Over the past five years we've experienced double-digit growth in Singapore, winning some of the market's top brands and storming the creative rankings. The search for our new management team underlies our aim to deliver on our next phase of growth.

Originally from Australia, Crombie's career spans 20 years in the industry, with agencies such as FCB, Ogilvy, Batey and Chiat Day Mojo in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and Taiwan. Crombie spent much of his career at FCB in various roles from managing director to worldwide account director. Over the years he has worked on brands such as Kraft, IBM, Telstra, Dell, Standard Chartered, Sunkist and New Zealand Milk.

Pereira joins Euro RSCG after almost five years within the Saatchi & Saatchi network. Born in Singapore and raised in Australia, Pereira started his career in Singapore 1992, but has since worked in London, Cape Town, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Dubai. He returned to Singapore in 2000 as head of copy at BBDO and joined Tony Williams in 2002 as his creative partner to start their own creative boutique agency hypu, which was subsequently bought out by Saatchi & Saatchi in 2006.

Pereira is tasked with growing the agency's creative offering and reputation, plus developing the creative teams, with a special focus on key clients like FairPrice and Coca-Cola.

Commenting on Pereira, Fanshawe said: "Kevin is a bona-fide entrepreneur, having set up his own agency and worked with a number of leading clients in his various roles. We've been looking for a true creative leader; someone bold and brilliant who can take us to the next level and we've found that in Kevin."

The news comes as managing director Charlie Blower departs to pursue a role on the creative side of the business.

"During my time at Euro, I've had the pleasure of working with some real talent in the agency, and winning accounts like Coca-Cola, Carlsberg and Saxo Capital Markets - the highlight being Euro RSCG Singapore winning 'agency of the year' last year. But my true passion is developing great creative work, and I'm looking forward to returning to that side of the business in my next role," Blower said.

Pereira's appointment is effective immediately, while Crombie starts later this month. Crombie will report directly to Fanshawe.
