FOSM boosts regional management; hires Simeon Dawes as senior VP to replace Jonathan Ellis in HK

Both Dawes and Sheshadri are based in Hong Kong.

Dawes replaces Jonathan Ellis, former senior VP of revenue and partnerships, who announced his departure from the media company earlier this month to join TheTMSway. Dawes is leading the FOSM operation across ten Asian offices, and is set to drive advertising sales revenue. He reports to Zubin Gandevia, chief operating officer at FIC.

Prior to his promotion, Sheshadri was the senior vice-president of content and communication at FIC Hong Kong. In his new role he manages the media solutions for pan-regional advertisers in the Trade Solutions unit, while also being the territory head of FIC in Hong Kong. He relocated to Hong Kong from FIC India five years ago.

Separately in Singapore, Yvonne Tay is relocating from Hong Kong to take up a position as vice-president and territory head. She has been with FIC since 2000. Tay will report to Avi Himatsinghani, senior vice-president and general manager of Southeast Asia.

The management restructures follows FIC’s aggressive expansion of FOSM regionally in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
