The agency’s day-to-day operations will be headed jointly by directors Eileen A Chua and Ronda Ng Doswell. Fulford is leaving on 14 July but will continue to be involved strategically with the Singapore office.
Chua and Doswell will work together with Ross Collett, the newly appointed regional head for Asia at BrandRapport, to grow the group’s core strengths in Asia. Collett is based in Hong Kong.
“The team succeeding me will continue driving the agency forward and to greater heights," Fulford said. "Both Eileen and Ronda have proven track records and enjoy my fullest confidence. It will definitely be business as usual.”
Doswell has been responsible for growing and retaining the agency’s pole position in sports PR both locally and regionally. She has led PR efforts for BBC Worldwide Channels, 2009 Asian Youth Games, Singapore Swimming Association, Milo, Nike Running and Courts Young Lions.
Chua spearheads the agency’s consumer and corporate practice, securing a foothold in Singapore’s arts and heritage landscape for clients such as the Singapore Art Museum, National Heritage Board, Art Stage Singapore 2011 and the 2011 Singapore Biennale. The corporate and consumer clients under her purview are the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Disney, Smiggle and iProperty.com.
Founded on two sports accounts 13 years ago, Fulford PR has since been awarded several other sporting events, including the inaugural Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore, HSBC Women’s Champions and the FINA Arena Swimming World Cup.
The agency subsequently set up a consumer and corporate practice in 2005, serving clients such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Beam Global Asia, Dean & Deluca, Evian and Lee Hwa Jewellery.
BrandRapport, which acquired Fulford PR in 2010, is a specialist sport and entertainment agency offering consultancy, communication, sponsorship and event services throughout the region.
