Geometry Global names APAC CEO

Diana Cawley joins from BBDO as John Goodman steps back to part-time role.

SHANGHAI - Geometry Global has appointed Diana Cawley as APAC CEO.

She will be based in Shanghai and report to global CEO Steve Harding starting on 4 July.

John Goodman will step down as regional president of Geometry Global, a director of Ogilvy & Mather in Asia Pacific and the global head of Ogilvy Noor, the Ogilvy group’s Muslim branding practice. He will continue to work with the group on a part-time basis while following a personal ambition by pursuing a research-based Ph.D. at Exeter University in the UK, pertaining to his personal interest in the minority Muslim communities of Southeast Asia.

Cawley joins from BBDO Shanghai, where she was managing director. Prior to that she was the global head of retail at Cheil Worldwide, based in Seoul. From 2009 to 2012, she was MD of Arc in London, prior to which she was at IMP London and Triangle Group.

Harding said Cawley has a proven record in growing businesses and revenue and a deep understanding of the brand-activation and shopper-marketing disciplines.

Steve Harding added “John has played a critical role in building the Geometry brand and business in Asia. He is a delight to work with and many of us who have worked with him closely consider him a friend. I admire his dedication to our company, to his colleagues, and also to pursuing his dreams. I wish him all the best on his next adventure.”
