Geometry Global beefs up leadership in Singapore hub

Just after appointing a new APAC CEO, Geometry Global has announced a shuffle within its Singapore leadership team, in line with its growth ambitions.

SINGAPORE - Following the appointment of its new APAC CEO last week, Geometry Global has changed up its leadership team in Singapore, with a raft of promotions and a new hire.

Chris Martell, MD of Geometry Singapore and regional director of global brand management, has been promoted to the newly created role of global client director for Unilever. Still based in Singapore, the role will see him working across all aspects of the Unilever business globally.

Mary Jane Butler has been promoted to Singapore MD from client service director. She has led key clients such as GSK, Philips and Lego, and brings brings more than two decades of experience across Asia and the US at both Ogilvy Asia Pacific and digital shop Strawberryfrog.

In addition:

  • Harry Bailey will be replacing Butler as client service director, moving from Geometry Global Hong Kong, where he held the role of group account director.
  • Daniel Comar will remain as regional executive creative director for the network whilst taking on the additional role of executive chairman of the Singapore office.
  • Jorge Thauby joined the agency in January as Singapore creative director. His portfolio includes clients such as Mercedes Benz, Shell, P&G, Emirates, PepsiCo and Qatar Airways.

“Singapore is an important market for us as a hub from where we manage several key client relationships in Asia and globally," said Steve Harding, Geometry Global CEO, adding that the appointments leave the agency better positioned to meet the imminent needs of these clients. 

The leadership changes follow the recent appointment of Diana Cawley as APAC CEO based in Shanghai and the announcement that John Goodman would be stepping down from his roles as regional president of Geometry Global, a director of Ogilvy & Mather in Asia Pacific and the global head of Ogilvy Noor, the Ogilvy group’s Muslim branding practice.
