Havas Media names new CEO for Singapore

SINGAPORE – Havas Media Asia Pacific has named Melvin Lim as the CEO for Singapore, effective this week.

He will be responsible of the expansion of Havas Media’s two key brands MPG and Media Contacts in Singapore and building the group’s diversified offering in the space of digital, mobile and activation.

He will report to Vishnu Mohan, CEO of Havas Media, Asia Pacific. Havas Media operates brands include MPG, Media Contacts and Havas Sports & Entertainment.

With 16 years of experience as a marketer with regional brands like DBS, SingTel and Asia Pacific Breweries, Lim was the head of marketing for consumer banking at DBS prior to this appointment.

Previously, he spent four years at Southeast Asia’s largest telco SingTel, where he was the deputy director of consumer marketing.

His longest stint in his career has been with Asia Pacific Breweries where he spent nine years as a marketing manager and regional head of sponsorships and brand development for Tiger.

“Melvin brings a client's understanding of how Havas Media can optimise its performance in the best interests of our valued clients,” Mohan commented on the appointment. “His long local experience and knowledge of Singapore market makes him uniquely qualified to not only strengthen our product, resources and offer but also provide marketing insights rooted in the local culture.”
