The partnership will see HTC launch a line of Playstation-Certified Android phones. The devices will be able to download and play games via the Playstation Store. Prior to this, only devices built through now-dissolved in-house partnership with Ericsson carried Playstation games.

In line with the new approach, Sony has also rebranded its mobile gaming platform from Playstation Suite to Playstation Mobile.
