Ram will be based in Ogilvy & Mather's Hong Kong office.

Ram is tasked with expanding the footprint of Iconmobile, a WPP-invested agency, in Asia, and to also extend key client relationships of the WPP group across Asia Pacific. He will further help oversee Ogilvy's joint venture with Iconmobile China, which has a presence in both Beijing and Shanghai.

"Iconmobile China was launched in 2008 and had so much work that they were unable to focus on devoloping the Hong Kong market, Ram told Campaign. "Seeing the potential here, I was brought in to head and develop Iconmobile in Hong Kong as well as across Asia."

Prior to this appointment Ram was with a global mobile marketing technology firm. In his 15 years of experience in mobile and digital media, he has worked in the Silicon Valley, Asia and the Middle East.
