Jean Lin, Isobar Asia Pacific's CEO and global chief strategy officer told Campaign Asia-Pacific that the key China leadership promotions are a result of the string of new agency acquisitions and new account wins, pointing out that for many Asia-Pacific clients, China is the most important and dynamic market for digital activation and communications.

Isobar China has recently acquired a few large digital new businesses including Haier's high-end brand Casarte account in Q2, Barcadi and ICBC Bank at the end of Q1.

The group has taken over OMP, one of China's largest independent digital agencies and eLink in Beijing. Lin also revealed that there are two more new agency acquisitions in the pipeline planned for the next two months.

She said the leadership promotions of its long-serving key staff will help to support the organic growth of the company in China.

Jane Lin-Baden, who has been working with the company since 2008, will be appointed CEO of Isobar China and will work across all companies in the agency and be responsible for driving the strategic roadmap and delivering results.

Lin-Baden moves from CRM practice leader for Isobar APAC and was former COO of wwwins Greater China. She will report directly to the Asia Pacific CEO.

Alvin Huang has been appointed managing partner-integrated media, Isobar China. In addition to his existing role as managing director at Isobar Beijing, he will drive Isobar China’s media-led new business and build consistent digital media disciplines across the companies.

Amanda Lai has been appointed social practice leader of Isobar China. She joined Isobar as a planner in 1999  and was previously head of strategy at wwwins Isobar Shanghai, working across the social teams.
