KF Lee of Aegis Media China tipped to move up to a chairman role

GREATER CHINA - Senior industry sources have disclosed to Campaign Asia-Pacific that KF Lee, Greater China CEO of Aegis Media, is tipped to be elevated to the position of chairman to give way to a new China CEO.

Apart from Lee (pictured), Michelle Lau, current chief commercial officer, is said to have been moved to a purchasing and strategy role within the agency.

Lee and Lau will reportedly be replaced by internal moves of leaders from other offices.

“This appears to me that Lee is being sidelined,” one source commented.

When contacted by Campaign Asia-Pacific by email, Lee said, “I have nothing to share at this moment yet.“

Nick Waters, CEO Aegis Media Asia-Pacific called the reports "nonsense".

"We have a stable management in China," Waters said. "There will be no change."

Dentsu’s acquisition of Aegis was completed in March this year.
