Kinetic wins big slice of Amway's OOH media buying account

SHANGHAI - After conducting its annual 2012 media review in late 2011, Kinetic was awarded six out of nine OOH buying categories for Amway, including bus shelters, the metro, taxi stands, building LCDs, elevator posters and bus body ads. The remaining three categories remain with the incumbent OMD.

Kinetic wins big slice of Amway's OOH media buying account

Kinetic won the account after a competitive pitch involving Heartland Media, OMD and Zenith Optimedia. This is the first Amway account win for Kinetic.

“Given the competitive nature of the pitch, this win is an important recognition for Kinetic," Jim Liu, president of Kinetic China said. "We hope that this first collaboration will allow Amway China to experience Kinetic’s proprietary tools in management and planning, such as our 'In time monitoring system' and 'locator'."

Reported in April, OMD China also announced that it has retained Amway’s TV media US$190 million buying business for the seventh year running, after winning a three-way pitch against VivaKi and GroupM last December. OMD China and NIM Advertising also won a competitive five-way pitch for Artistry’s full digital media service contract estimated to be worth US$4 million, as reported last February.
