BEIJING - Leo Burnett Beijing has announced it has won creative duties for Beijing-based brewery Yanjing Beer and Henan-based bus manufacturer Yutong.

Leo Burnett Beijing scoops Yanjing Beer, Yutong Bus creative accounts

The agency has been working with Yanjing on a project basis for over a year, and both sides agreed to set up a partnership deal. Leo Burnett is Yanjing's first 4A retainer agency partner and charged to provide strategic development of the brand as well as integrated creative solutions.

"The beer market in China is quite regional driven and Yanjing is very popular in the captial and neighbouring provinces. Now they want to expand their market share and become more nationalised," said Jimmy Liang, deputy MD at Leo Burnett Beijing.

Leo Burnett Beijing also secured the Yutong account without a pitch in August  this year. Yutong is the biggest local bus and coach manufacturer and was with Leo Burnett Beijing for over five years before it moved to Bates last year.
