Manulife Financial appoints Fiona Chan as assistant VP

HONG KONG - Fiona Chan has joined Manulife Financial as assistant VP of regional brand development and communications, replacing Monika Federau who has returned to Canada after being in the post for over two years.

Chan is based in Hong Kong and leads strategic brand development and corporate communications for Asia. She reports to Cliff Davis, senior VP of human resources, Asia Division.

Prior to joining Manulife, Chan worked for The Standard Chartered Bank for five years. Her last post there was head of corporate affairs Malaysia.

Starting her career as a reporter for the South China Morning Post, Chan also worked at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Hong Kong's de facto central bank, for ten years.

Manulife Financial is a 120-year-old Canadian-based global financial services group operating in 22 countries and territories worldwide, and the first international insurer to list in Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong, the company engages with MEC as their media AOR.
