Based in Hong Kong, Porter reports to Maxus Asia-Pacific CEO Neil Stewart and Group M Asia-Pacific’s head of trading.

Stewart stated that significant new business growth has necessitated the appointment. “We have seen tremendous growth over the past 12 months, and many of our key clients are looking for increased support to continue to drive maximum value out of their investments," he said. "Clients such as L’Oreal are major advertisers in the region, and developing smarter strategies to reach increasingly fragmented audiences is a critical component of our relationship with them. Simon’s experience in one of the most advanced trading markets—from both an online and offline perspective—makes him a very welcome addition to the Maxus team.”

Porter said he is delighted to be joining Maxus at an exciting time. “Over the past two years, their performance has been exceptional," he said. "The relationship media approach Maxus adopts is ideally suited to the modern market and I am thoroughly looking forward to being a part of it.”

Describing Porter as a “Premier League Trader”, Meaden added that effective management of clients' media trading has always been a key focus within all (GroupM) agencies in Asia. “(Simon’s) appointment at Maxus will now take this to a new level, and I very much look forward to working with him,” Meaden said.
