Yim joined from ZenithOptimedia Hong Kong where she worked for more than a decade. She has strong experience on regional account management through work with LVMH. Yeung previously held a parallel role at OMD Hong Kong. Both will report to Caroline Chan, the agency’s MD.
Maxus won the global Shangri-la media and digital media account last year from OMD which had held the account for over 10 years. Ogilvy and OgilvyOne handle Shangri-La's creative and digital accounts globally.
Chan said that Maxus' regional team in Singapore had lead the Shangri-La account since the win. But since the client is actually based in Hong Kong, it is aiming to base more of its key people on the account there.
She added that there has been many new developments in the last six months, “with the aim of supporting the expansion of Maxus in the region, the new team would support new business development by working close with the regional office in Singapore as well.”
Shangri-La launched a large-scale new global brand campaign 'It's in our nature' last summer.
