Sharon Soh has been appointed as managing director of MEC in Singapore, taking over the leadership reins of the Singapore business from Connie Chan. In this role, Soh will be responsible for the people, product and portfolio of clients in Singapore.

Chan takes on the leadership of Global Solutions for Asia Pacific. Global Solutions is the international media arm of MEC. She will work closely with the region’s local market managing directors, developing the agency’s international clients; driving a culture of client centricity locally, as well as regional business development.  These three areas are key to the continued growth of MEC in Asia Pacific.

Both Soh and Chan will report to Stephen Li, CEO of MEC in Asia Pacific.

Li said the agency decided to unify two business operations, Singapore and Global Solutions, in Singapore four years ago. “Our challenge now is to stay ahead of the game and sustain our growth.  More than ever, we need to be client centric and to achieve this, we are reorganising the management teams to enable greater focus for our crucial Singapore operation and bring greater focus across the region,” he added.
