MediaCom names Ashwini Kamat GM in Mumbai

MUMBAI - MediaCom has hired Ashwini Kamat (pictured) as general manager of its operation in Mumbai.

Kamat will also assume the role of strategic planning and research head for MediaCom India. She will report to India managing director Divya Gururaj.

Prior to joining the GroupM agency, Kamat served as general manager of Starcom Bangalore. Over the course of a 12-year career, she has worked across a range of sectors including cosmetics, financial services, insurance, retail and automobiles.

Gururaj described Kamat as “one of the brightest people in the media industry”.

“With her leadership, we will continue to strengthen our ROI-based planning, which has been a key focus and strength for us,” Gururaj added.
