Par Uhlin (pictured), currently managing director for MSL China, has been promoted to managing director of MSL China and Hong Kong. Based in Shanghai, Uhlin reports to Glenn Osaki, president of MSLGroup Asia, who has overseen the Hong Kong market since 2005.

Uhlin joined MSLGroup through the acquisition of Eastwei Relations China in 2011.

To fuel the growth and development of financial communications and investor relations, Antoine Denry, previously partner at Publicis Consultants France, part of MSLGroup, has relocated to Hong Kong in November 2012 to take on the new role as director.

He will work closely to develop the MSLGroup Asia financial communications practice with regional leader Jaideep Shergill, who also serves as CEO for MSL India, based in Mumbai.

Denry has more than 12 years of experience delivering strategic communications programmes for companies including Air Liquide, Allianz, General Electric, General Mills and Legrand on assignments such as IPOs, M&A transactions and crisis and issues management.

Eric Abelev has been promoted to director, MSL Hong Kong, specialising in corporate and B2B communications. He has played a key role in developing and managing regional and local corporate communications expertise since he joined MSL Hong Kong in early 2011.

Cindy Chan has also been promoted to director, MSL Hong Kong, and regional director for the consumer marketing practice at MSLGroup Asia. Cindy has been with MSL Hong Kong since 2003, serving as a key driver for the overall office’s development and managing several large global and regional client relationships focusing on consumer marketing and social media marketing areas.

These hires in Hong Kong have added depth of capabilities and local and regional expertise to the office. Under Uhlin’s leadership, MSL Hong Kong will also strengthen its ties with the MSL China team and its four offices in Mainland China, to develop additional expertise areas.

Beyond these key personnel developments, MSL Hong Kong has also established a series of internal programmes around insights, social media strategy and marketing, and other internal people development programmes.
