'Game channel', launched on 11 July, combines viral videos, online games and social media.

It gives advertisers the chance to produce a series of branded videos, in real-life, animation, or both, over a minimum one month term. Two to three 30-second videos run each week, in which advertisers can incorporate various corporate messages. In Café de Coral's video, viewers are urged to be mindful of ‘food wastage’ when dining out.

Giordano is the second brand participating in Game Channel during its launch month.

Once viewers have seen the featured video, they are able to participate in an online game. Viewers that share the video qualify for gifts and cash coupons from the advertisers.

Advertisers are charged on a 'per-view' basis, Anthony Tsang, the company's associate director, said. Production of the videos is also handled by VDONext's staff.
