Ogilvy & Mather promotes Paul Matheson and Jerry Smith to head regional strategy and planning

REGIONAL - Ogilvy & Mather has promoted Paul Matheson and Jerry Smith to the joint regional leadership of its strategy and planning community in Asia-Pacific.

Matheson has been with Ogilvy since 2005 and was previously regional planning director for Asia-Pacific.

Smith has been with Ogilvy in Asia since 2000
and has held a number of management positions including head of business consulting services.

According to a statement, the appointments are part of the WPP agency’s plan to develop a broader set of strategic planning and consulting skills in response to a demand for more effective marketing.

Ogilvy also intends to build a consolidated strategy and planning resource for its senior clients and prospects.

On the promotions, Tim Isaac (pictured), chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific, commented: “Paul and Jerry will be working closely together to bring business consulting services and planning together to place a greater emphasis on solving business problems in order to put effectiveness and creativity at the heart of our offer to clients.”
