Both appointments took effect in mid-January. The two will report to Fiona Gordon, group chairman at Ogilvy & Mather Singapore.

A 25-year Ogilvy veteran, Prats moved to Singapore from Spain, where his most recent role was vice-president of Ogilvy Group Spain and CEO of advertising. He has worked on global clients including IBM and American Express, as well as local businesses like Telefonica.

Gordon noted that Prats has a proven track record in building strong teams and driving innovation.

Walls, meanwhile, joined from AMV-BBDO in the US where he worked for clients such as Blackberry. He also previously worked at JWT in the USA for Unilever, Ford and Smirnoff, as well as at BBH in London and Singapore for Unilever, SingTel and Johnnie Walker.

“We're delighted to welcome Steve back to Singapore and he is an original thinker, focused on fostering planning talent and driving great work for clients,” Gordon added.

In other news, the Google ‘Ramayana Chrome’ Experiment developed by OgilvyOne Singapore for Indonesia has won the FWA (Favourite Website Awards) People’s Choice Award 2012. Established in May 2000, FWA is a recognition programme for cutting-edge digital work.
