P&G China promotes Sameer Singh to regional media head

GUANGZHOU - Sameer Singh (pictured), currently associate media director for P&G Greater China, has been promoted to media director for Asia-Pacific, effective 1 September.

Singh (pictured) took over the Greater China role last year when Pon De Dios resigned to start his own consulting company.

Singh will still be based at P&G's Guangzhou office in reporting to Cecilia Li, GM of P&G's China brand operators, and Sumeet Vohra, GM of marketing for Asia based in P&G's Singapore office.

Singh started his marketing career with Gillette and has been working for P&G's US and India office since 1992.

P&G launched a series of nine vignettes to mark its 20th anniversary in China last year.

China is one of the company's main markets in Asia. it is believed to hold the largest media budget in the Greater China region, estimated at around US$1 billion.
