Proximity Live wins PR account for Tumi in China

SHANGHAI - The US luxury travel, business and lifestyle accessories brand TUMI has named Proximity Live as its new agency of record for marketing and PR communications in China.

The pitch included at least two undisclosed agencies, including the incumbent OgilvyPR. 

Proximity Live will be tasked with strengthening brand awareness through aggressive nationwide PR and media initiatives, especially in tier-one cities. The agency will educate a target audience of people in their mid-20s upwards and white-collar workers.

Simon Tung, senior business director of Proximity Live, said: “The brand has an international following for its innovative product design, quality and global warranty. China is of course a very important market but the brand awareness is not as high as we would like it to be. There is room for improvement.” 

Proximity Live’s recent new business wins include Tag Heuer, Godiva,and Loro Piana.
