Sugihtani has over two decades of experience in Southeast Asia and China in FMCG and telecommunications, where he has led marketing and innovation functions.

In his new role, he will spearhead the consolidation and expansion of Havas Media in Indonesia. Sugihtani will also be responsible for improving the capabilities of specialist units in data, sports and entertainment.

Prior to joining Havas Media, he was the regional marketing director of Huawei Device South Pacific. He has spent 13 years of his career with Unilever in Indonesia, Thailand and China, where he was promoted to lead oral care marketing. He later took on the role of regional innovation director at Colgate Palmolive leading innovation across China, India, Eurasia and Southeast Asia. He headed back to Indonesia in 2008 as Marketing Director for Nokia before moving to Huawei.

“Indonesia is one of our strongest markets in the region and we are pleased to have found someone of Riadi’s calibre to lead our operations," said Vishnu Mohan, CEO of Havas Media Group.

Sugihtani's appointment is in line with Havas Media's strategy of hiring local leaders. "His experience in working with several blue-chip brands like Unilever, Colgate-Palmolive and Nokia, gives him a great perspective on the role media agencies can play in helping brands to become more meaningful while being profitable," Mohan added.
