The MTR History book and video, which SCMP Marketing Services won following an open tender, will document the historical development of Hong Kong's MTR service since it began operations in 1979. It will be launched in the second half of this year.

IFC also approached SCMP Marketing Service to revamp its The IFC Magazine for the shopping mall in Hong Kong. The first SCMP-published issue will carry a brand new concept for the magazine this summer and will be distributed to the VIP guests at the Four Seasons Hotel.

The third project is the 40th anniversary sponsored commemorative book for Dennis Lau & Ng Chun Man Architects & Engineers, one of the most well respected architectural firms in Hong Kong behind many landmarks in the city, including the Hong Kong Convention Centre and the Container Terminals. The book will publish some of the most interesting stories documenting how Hong Kong was built.

The SCMP Marketing Services is a relatively young setup within the South China Morning Post. It is led by 4As veteran Sylvia Lee, head of marketing services.

"We are very pleased with the opportunities to work on these esteemed projects, and the new assignments underscore clients' vote of confidence in our team," Lee said.

"But what's really exciting is that clients who work with us in 2010 are coming to us for more joint projects in 2011. They are looking for enhanced partnership with the SCMP, and this is the best recognition of our work and service."

The SCMP Marketing Services provides integrated solutions to clients and agencies, including custom publishing, event management, promotions, creative support, interactive and video services.
