Lang joins Sony Ericsson from the Sony Corporation, bringing twenty years of sales and marketing experience from around the world.

He has worked in Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus and Africa. Prior to this appointment he was managing director of Sony South Africa where he was instrumental in establishing Sony’s lead position in the LCD TV market and led the hosting of Sony’s FIFA World Cup 2011 sponsorship.

He has also held the post of managing director for Sony Nordic where he played a critical role in the business transformation strategy for those regions. In his new role, Lang will be responsible for Sony Ericsson’s business in countries across Asia-Pacific excluding Japan, China and Hong Kong.

Molén was promoted from his previous senior sales and marketing roles in Sony Ericsson where he oversaw sales operations in the Nordic and Baltic states from 2009 to 2011. Before joining Sony Ericsson, Molén led the marketing team at Sweden’s second leading brewery where he was responsible for several brands.

“Asia is a dynamic region for Sony Ericsson. Our strategy in the region remains focused on creating new product experiences for consumers, strengthening Sony Ericsson’s position as the world’s leading communication entertainment brand,” said Lang.

“I look forward to working with Matthew to drive the region’s marketing strategy by creating unique brand experiences and strengthening relationships with consumers,” said Molén.

Sony Ericsson is a mobile manufacturer and is the product of a joint venture between Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Sony Corporation and Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson
