The appointment covers a large facade LED screen and an in-mall video wall which will be officially activated on 3 December to coincide with the opening of the mall.

Advertisers will also have static banner options next to these screens. Besides advertisements, shoppers can also view content from The Straits Times, RazorTV, SPH Magazines, WOWtv and National Geographic.

Edward Tang, GM of SPH MBO, said: "We are happy to launch our sixth and newest large outdoor LED screen. The screen, our second on Orchard Road, provides an exciting solution for major brand owners, particularly fashion labels and lifestyle products and services, to reach an increasingly mobile and out-of-home consumer society."

Tang added: "The latest addition of 313@Somerset brings the number of major shopping malls in our retail network to 18, with another dozen prime malls expected to be included in the network next year. We are also planning to expand our digital out-of-home network into other non-retail locations to provide a variety of niche marketing solutions to advertisers.”

313@Somerset is Orchard Road’s latest prime shopping location above a train station on the shopping belt. It houses 170 stores including Uniqlo, Zara, Lacoste, Esprit, food outlets Din Tai Fung and Food Republic, as well as music store HMV.

Brands such as HTC and Lee Hwa Jewellery have already commissioned campaigns.

Earlier in the year, MediaCorp launched an outdoor media division to take on advertising solutions for ION Orchard and Orchard Central, two other malls that have entered the Orchard Road shopping belt.
