Jenny Chang, previously managing director of Taiwan, was promoted to managing director of technology and telecommunications for Greater China, and will relocate to Beijing in June this year. Her résumé includes over 20 years’ experience in market research working with numerous technology and telecommunications clients in Taiwan.

Hong Kong-based Steve Garton has been elevated to the position of managing director of media for Greater China, while retaining the role of global head of media. Garton is an industry veteran with over 40 years’ media experience whose strengths lie in developing new audience research techniques and creating the world’s largest media surveys.

Roland Leung is the new recruit to the team, joining Synovate as the managing director of emerging industries for Greater China and as the office head of Synovate in Hong Kong. Most recently, he was senior vice-president of sales and marketing in Asia for Harris Interactive.

Eliza Wong, CEO of Synovate Greater China, explained that the business unit underwent a reorganisation in September last year to consolidate key industry-specific offerings and better focus on client needs to align with their structures. With the appointments, Wong acknowledges the firm aims to take its client service, industry knowledge and quality to greater heights.
