TBWA Group Thailand today announced that Narong Chokpiboonkarn has joined the agency as managing director of Digital Arts Network (DAN).

Bringing more than 25 years’ experience to the role, Chokpiboonkarn was previously managing director at Y&R Thailand, where he spent 15 years and led the agency to win Campaign Asia-Pacific’s Thailand Creative Agency of the Year in 2014.

Before, that he worked at Batey, McCann Erickson, SC Matchbox and Lowe Lintas.

Chokpiboonkarn will "lead us in a market with one of the world’s fastest growing number of internet users", said Tuomas Peltoniemi, president and innovation director of DAN Asia. “Due to the last year’s economic slowdown, Thailand actually experienced an enhanced surge into digital advertising as marketers shifted their ad budgets to more cost-effective online media.”
