Dentsu Aegis Network has hired Sonal Patel as Asia-Pacific president of programmatic services.

Patel joins from AppNexus, where she was Singapore managing director and APAC vice president. Before that, Patel managed Southeast Asia and India for Google’s Doubleclick sales, and also worked at Twitter managing business development for programmatic real-time in-app mobile bidding.

Patel said she was excited to join DAN at a time when its programmatic capabilities were rapidly expanding.

At DAN, Patel will oversee the network’s product roadmap for its programmatic proposition, to deliver against DAN’s ambition of being a 100% digital economy business by 2020.

Sunil Yadav, APAC president of DAN-owned Amplifi, said: “Sonal is a long time senior leader in the industry and we are excited to welcome her to our team to drive this agenda in the region.”

AppNexus thanks Patel for her contribution to the business.
