TBWA Mumbai takes BagZone and LaVie in India

MUMBAI – TBWA India has won luggage retail chain BagZone’s creative business, after a multi-agency pitch.

The account is said to worth Rs12 crores (US$3 million). TBWA Mumbai will lead the creative for the business that covers Bagzone and its new womens handbag line LaVie. Both brands are said to be new to the Indian market and currently without an advertising agency.

The media duties are yet to be confirmed.

Sandeep Goenka, chief operating officer at Bagzone, said, “We were looking for a partner who could think out of the box. We are confident that TBWA will help us create differentiated propositions and value in both our categories.”

Nirmalya Sen, managing director of TBWA, added that the agency is planning integrated campaigns through traditional media including TV, print and outdoor.

BagZone falls under retail distributor Planet Retail in India.
