Tempo appoints e-commerce and digital marketing agency in China

WE Commerce will take over the operation of Tempo's stores on Tmall and Taobao starting September. The assignment includes storefront design, product planning, pricing strategy, channel management, on-line promotion, customer logistics, warehousing and courier duties.

Meanwhile, WE Digital will be responsible for the planning and implementation of social marketing activities on Weibo and WeChat. The aim is to make Tempo a strong brand online, and to help drive traffic to its e-commerce platforms.

"To win in e-commerce, companies can no longer just rely on price discounts but leverage a combination of branding plus e-commerce," said Viveca Chan, chairman of WE Group. At the moment, the brand is still touting up to a 50 per cent discount on its official Weibo account.

Tempo is owned by personal care product company SCA, which also distributes Tork, Vinda, Libresse, Sealer, Prokids, Libero, TENA & Dr. P in China.
