Rowan Benecke (pictured), former Asia-Pacific regional director, is relocating to Madrid in September to lead the newly created Central and Southern EMEA region. Benecke's promotion follows the departure of Kjell Hjelm for personal reasons this coming month.

Benecke's move sees former regional operations director of Asia-Pacific Steven Murphy stepping up as the new regional director of North Asia. Anne Costello, ex-senior vice president of Asia-Pacific, will separately take on the role of regional director South Asia.

Former global head of digital lifestyle Sarah MacKenzie is taking on the role of regional director of Northern Europe.

Benecke said Asia has seen a great amount of growth in the PR industry. "Just in Hong Kong alone, there are at least three or four consistent professional networks and associations. That didn't exist five years ago," he said.

"Steven and Anne been in Asia for at least a decade each, and have been with Text 100 for almost as long. Their consistency in leadership will bring new heights to Text 100," Benecke adds.

All the ELT members will report directly to Aedhmar Hynes, global CEO at Text 100. "We have created a flatter management structure to support our continued growth around the world," said Hynes.

The Text 100 regional divisions are based on head count and current revenues, the statement from the agency notes. North Asia currently holds offices in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan. The South Asia region hosts an office in India, Australia and two subsidiaries of GRO and Vox PR.
