TNS appoints James Fergusson as global technology head

GLOBAL – Custom research company TNS today announced the appointment of James Fergusson as global technology head, effective immediately.

Since joining TNS in 2001, Fergusson has played a key role in the technology sector community and its development, as regional technology sector lead for Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa.

In his new role, Fergusson will be responsible for leading the global Technology sector community, strengthening TNS's Technology Sector presence across all markets and actively selling TNS's Technology expertise into both new and existing clients. Fergusson takes over this role from Matthew Froggatt following his recent appointment in October as Chief Development Officer.

"I am extremely confident that James has the right combination of sector knowledge and market focus to ensure our Technology Sector strategy continues to address our clients changing needs," said TNS's CEO Pedro Ros.

Fergusson will continue to actively support the TNS Rapid Growth and Emerging Markets strategy specifically in the Technology sector and in the short term transition this strategic leadership to other Sector Heads. Fergusson will report directly to CEO Pedro Ros and will continue to be based in Singapore.
