Travelocity names director of partner marketing

SINGAPORE - Travelocity has hired Andrew Cox as its director of partner marketing for Asia-Pacific.

He will be working closely with the Global Partner Services (GPS) team to drive greater growth in the hotel segment, continue to expand on innovative distribution channels and widen partner relations.

He will also drive partner developments across all Travelocity brands with a specific focus on Zuji Asia- Pacific.

With more than 18 years of experience in the travel industry, Cox will be a key addition to the leadership team at Travelocity and Zuji Asia-Pacific.

The hotel segment is a significant driver of Zuji’s growth, especially for packages that make up strong double-digit year-on-year increases.

Roshan Mendis, president of Zuji Asia-Pacific and vice-president of Travelocity Asia-Pacific, noted that Cox’s extensive expertise will be able to value-add to its existing partner initiatives and he expects to forge stronger relationships with our hotel partners in the region, following the appointment.

“This appointment strengthens our commitment to our travellers to provide them with the best travel options and to help our partners deliver more value to their businesses,” Mendis added.

Cox was most recently with Harvey’s Choice Holidays, where he led new business development, marketing and product acquisition. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Destinations of the World and Orbitz Worldwide.
