Tribal DDB tipped to win digital business for Hong Kong Jockey Club

HONG KONG – The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) is believed to have appointed Tribal DDB for a digital branding project to attract new clients.

Tribal DDB tipped to win digital business for Hong Kong Jockey Club

The pitch started back in November 2009 with a result expected in April 2010. The long overdue result has been pending ever since. The account is reported to be worth approximately US$516 000.

Arc, MRM, OgilvyOne and Publicis Modem were some of the agencies shortlisted in April. Sources indicates that Tribal DDB and OgilvyOne have both worked on other projects for HKJC before.

The motivation behind the review was to develop a new campaign to attract new clients to the races following a 30 per cent decline in profit posted for 2009.

Separately, HKJC is currently also looking for a creative agency to handle its racing marketing business for the 2010/11 season.

In August, the horse racing, sporting and betting entertainment organisation confirmed it has partnered with Hong Kong publisher Ren Publishing to launch its redesigned membership magazine Badges.
