Vibes Comms pitches itself against international competition

SINGAPORE - Local integrated agency Vibes Communications has launched a promotional campaign to create awareness of its business, comparing its capabilities and services to international counterparts.

The message is about the differences between small versus big agencies; local versus international agencies; and full-service integrated versus specialist agencies, and what these truly mean to clients.

The agency aims to make a statement that it has all, if not better, capabilities than its international counterparts to service clients' communications needs.

The campaign will involve both above-and below-the-line efforts to highlight and showcase the agency’s array of integrated communication capabilities, including print advertisements, the launch of a revamped website, a viral video teaser, a new Facebook page and public relations.

Established 19 years ago, Vibes provides 360-degree services encompassing media, creative, advertising account management, public relations, event management and digital/interactive solutions. It has offices in both Singapore and Malaysia, with a total staff count of over 60.

“It is time that local talents defend and grow our business even more aggressively and creatively,” Desmond Teo, group managing director of Vibes Communications, said.

The 'In-your’s-face' print advertisement, which ran in Today newspaper yesterday and again today (18 and 19 June), seeks to draw attention and highlights the accessibility of Vibes' full suite of talents to clients.

The website has been redesigned as an interactive coffee-table magazine to showcase the agency's work, and includes original print advertisements, creative artwork for larger-than-life media platforms, PR-led media and CSR events, as well as blogger engagements.

Alongside the website, Vibes has launched a Facebook page to provide a platform within the agency for cross-sharing ideas and work. It will also serve as a communication channel with other stakeholders, including existing and potential clients, media friends and partners.

To round up the campaign, Vibes created a video e-blast, which will be sent to all existing clients in support of the campaign.

The agency has also conceptualised and produced teaser creative kits of cookie jars and Today copies with belly bands for potential business leads and media friends.
