Cheah will be based in Singapore, reporting to Duncan Pointer, Vizeum's APAC MD. He was previously Millennial Media's regional mobile advertising sales director for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

"The appointment will help our clients realise greater potential from mobile," Pointer said. "Currently many clients are cautious about including mobile on their media plans, or they simply see mobile as another screen, leaving dormant a host of m-commerce, or location-based opportunities."

Pointer added that Cheah will help "demystify" mobile for clients. "Many clients understand the importance of mobile and are willing to include it as part of a programmatic buy, but it offers so much more," he said.

In addition to evangelising mobile with clients, Cheah will also play a role in boosting the agency's talent level. "We are always looking to add smart people with specialist skills such as mobile, as well as focusing on existing talent, to ensure that we can offer market leading solutions," Pointer said.

Wohlstand more than eight years of experience. He started his career at Mediacorp before moving to Interactive Hub, and then to Nokia where he was regional sales manager. He moved to Millennial Media in 2012, he moved to Millennial Media and was instrumental in building the business there.
