SHANGHAI - WE Digital has been awarded a social media assignment of Danish food brand Kjeldsens Butter Cookies in China.

WE Digital gains to run social media project for Kjeldsens Butter Cookies

WE Marketing has been working on Kjeldsens Butter Cookies’ traditional advertising account since the agency's inception in 2005.

Social media represents a new media avenue for the Danish cookie brand, which is positioning itself as a gift to give during festivals.

“In the past, traditional advertising is only one-way,” commented Viveca Chan, chairman and CEO of the WE Marketing Group. “But in recent years, it is increasingly more important for a brand to do social media brand marketing to assert its brand personality and interact with consumers.”

WE Digital has set up a Weibo account to build up its client’s fan base, in order to kick off more weibo-focused  social media campaigns.

Kjeldsens Butter Cookies adds to WE Digital's portfolio which includes Mars's M&Ms and China Auto Rental. The team was established last June, and is headed by Hugo Chan.
