The appointment was announced by group general manager Lisa Hezila. Bal (pictured) relocated from Jakarta, where she headed Momentum during its evolution from purely events management to a full BTL solutions agency.

Having spent 12 years in the advertising industry, Bal has worked for several multinational agencies, including G2 and Ogilvy & Mather.

She also has two previous stints with Y&R, working on clients such as Caltex and Campbell’s Soup. Bal was named Y&R’s ‘Power Suit – Manager of the Year’ in 2005.

Other accounts she has handled are OCBC, Singapore Tourism Board, Nestlé, BAT, Tiger Beer, P&G and Volvo.

Hezila said the agency is “delighted” to welcome Bal back, adding that Y&R Malaysia concluded 2012 with wins of MPB, EXIM Bank and UEMLand.
