Personal labels increase Johnnie Walker sales

Diageo is going global with a label 'studio' for Johnnie Walker, executed by Singapore's Untitled Project.

Creative tech studio Untitled Project, which already scored a win with Diageo for a VR project, has announced that the spirits giant is going global with a second experience it developed.

The company created an app that lets consumers create custom labels for bottles of Johnnie Walker within a "studio" installation that prints and places the labels on the bottles on the spot.

Untitled Project has also created 3D renders of the Johnnie Walker Label Studio, along with toolkits and guides to aide in the global rollout.

The studio has been a big success, according to the company. It drove "significant sales uplift" in duty-free channels in Delhi, Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as an incremental sales increase "in excess of 100 bottles per night" at wedding banquets in Malaysia.

Untitled Project is now supporting activations across Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas, and regularly updating the app with new templates and backgrounds.
