Who wouldn't like to 'Wake up in the Philippines'?

The Philippines Department of Tourism and longtime partner BBDO Guerrero launch a 16-film series about what a dream it would be to travel.

Yep, this is apparently the week for tourism entities to start reaching out to the world with hopeful visions of a future world where we can once again travel not just beyond the confines of our personal homes, but even to whole other countries.

'Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished, and a new campaign from the Philippines has now joined one from New Zealand (which Ad Nut reviewed yesterday) in trying to trying to stoke our desire for travel.

The Philippines' effort, by BBDO Guerrero, includes 16 films about specific destinations in the country, and leads off with the "omnibus teaser" film above.

"Until we can travel again, stay at home, dream...and wake up in The Philippines", the film concludes.

BBDO Guerrero worked with production houses Artillerie Media and Unitel Straight Shooters to film the 16 videos across 51 shooting days and 150 locations. You can see one example here, and the rest will be rolled out through the year.
