2019 Cannes contenders: 'Red restaurant list' by Hakuhodo Kettle
We asked creative leaders from across the region choose the work they expect (or hope) to see winning at Cannes Lions this year. See all this year's Cannes contenders.

Contender: Red restaurant list
Agency: Hakuhodo Kettle
Client: Takasaki city

Nominated by:

Arthur Tsang, CCO, BBH China:

A brilliant idea, which although intended originally only for a small provincial city, shows its greatness by spawning so much IP and the capacity to be expanded to almost anywhere. An idea that preserves culture, is economically sound and can travel far—that makes it a winner.

Dami Sidharta, ECD, M&C Saatchi Indonesia:

The food industry is unforgiving. New restaurants come and go every day, most relying a lot on temporary cool trends and publicity, killing the authentic, humble ones. This idea connects a lot of dots which ultimately help people preserve that simple treasures.
