Accenture Interactive co-founder Christine Removille is Carat's new global president

She has been a senior executive at Accenture for 20 years.

Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Christine Removille, one of the founders of Accenture Interactive, as global president of media agency network Carat.

Removille joins Dentsu Aegis Network from Accenture where she has been a senior executive for 20 years. She will start on 3 September.

"My decision to join Dentsu Aegis Network was driven by their unique people-based data platform, the integrated operating model and completeness of marketing services," Removille said. "It is an exciting time and consulting talents combining business acumen, analytics and technology will add value in the agency landscape."

Most recently, she launched and built Accenture Interactive in Europe and was managing director Europe, Latin America and Africa.

Removille started her career at Leo Burnett and Carat as senior international account director, based in the US, UK, Germany and France.

Removille replaces Will Swayne who has been Carat global president for the past three years. Swayne has been appointed to a new global client leadership role, the details of which have yet to be announced. 

"I want to thank Will for the tremendous role he has played for Carat over the last few years. Will oversaw $8bn (£6.1bn) of net new business, retained Carat’s top Recma qualitative ranking for the three years and built long-term relationships with clients including General Motors, Microsoft, Kellogg’s, Diageo and Philips. Will is exceptional at building trusted, long-term client relationships and I look forward to working with Will in his new role," Huijboom added.
