Crook moves from his position of managing director of digital media of Aegis Media ANZ. He will retain his position of managing director of Emitch nationally within his new role.

As chief digital officer, Crook will be tasked with driving best practice and innovation across the network in digital media, social, mobility, content, technology and digital data and analytics.

He will also work closely with the group’s performance and programmatic trading agencies, including Aegis Media’s global trading desk AMNET and the newly formed social media unit, The Social Hatch.

Luke Littlefield, CEO of Aegis Media Australia and New Zealand, said the agency seeks to remain a market leader when it comes to digital media innovation.

“We are committed to investing in the digital space, through our people, technology and tools, and [Crook's] new role is an important part of driving this to new heights,” he said. “He is also a key conduit for our international counterparts and will equally ensure that we remain at the forefront of global best practice when it comes to digital.”

Crook’s career spans creative advertising and digital sales, with the past 10 years spent in digital media, including establishing Carat’s digital offering in Melbourne in 2003.
