APCO Worldwide names Garry Walsh as Southeast Asia head

SINGAPORE - APCO Worldwide has appointed Garry Walsh (pictured) as managing director of the firm's Southeast Asia region, to based in Singapore.

Walsh was formerly managing director of its European headquarters’ office in Brussels.

Prior to joining APCO in 2004, Walsh worked for a range of consultancies on public affairs, financial and corporate communication assignments as well as in UK politics. He had served as managing director of the Brussels office since 2007.

On the appointment, Larry Snoddon, global vice chairman and CEO of APCO’s Asia region, said: “The Southeast Asia region is a rapidly growing part of the world, and APCO is well-positioned to bring innovative approaches and structures in managing client needs in these countries.”

He added: “Garry’s tremendous experience in managing multinational clients presents great opportunities for companies based in Singapore and throughout the region.”

Walsh will also assume a new global position with overall responsibility for APCO’s work for Microsoft, to work as a key member of the agency’s Microsoft client teams in North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.
