In this role, Liu (pictured) will report to Joe Yu, the agency’s MD. He will provide key clients with communications counsel, strategic planning, and execution management support for their communications programmes, as well as new business development and strengthening the agency’s digital influence offerings.

A seasoned PR executive from Taiwan, Liu spent nine years with Era Ogilvy Public Relations in Taipei where he served brands such as Alibaba, AMD, Sony and clients spanning the technology, auto, online gaming and real estate industries.

Liu moved to Guangzhou in 2009 where he worked for Ruder Finn and subsequently joined Text 100 China as senior director and deputy managing consultant in Beijing.

“Over the past several years we have witnessed Arming’s remarkable work in Taiwan and China. Arming is an exceptionally strong leader with over a decade of PR experience and deep knowledge of the technology and social media fields which will certainly benefit our clients,” Yu said. "We are honoured and very happy to have him back in the Ogilvy family.”
