Batey won the Audi business one year ago next month (Media, 7 August), during which time the German carmaker has seen sales rocket in the city-state.
However, disagreements are believed to have arisen between client and agency over renumeration and staffing, which have led for the need to draw up a new contact.
Alan Fairnington, CEO of Batey, said: After a year of working together, Audi and Batey are discussing a new contract which involves scope of work, the agency team dedicated to Audi, and new KPIs.
Audi has achieved considerable sales success in Singapore over the past 12 months, as well as significant improvements in brand perception. It is now time to raise our sights even higher. Hence the need for a new contract.
Audi sales in Singapore grew by 41 per cent in the first quarter of 2008, compared to the same period last year.
Audi Singapore sold 646 vehicles between January and June 2008, with the A4, S5 and A5 models helping the German car brand become the fastest growing premium car brand in the city-state.
Despite the global economic gloom, Audi has stated that Singapore sales should exceed 1,250 units this year, spurred by the launch of the Audi A4 Avant.
