Bank Mandiri launches creative review in Indonesia

JAKARTA - Bank Mandiri has launched a review of its creative account for an integrated campaign due in 2011.

Sources say that up to 13 agencies have been invited to pitch for the account, including JC&K, Bates 141, Grey, OZE, Dwi sapta, Avicom and Flying Giraffe.

In 2009, Bank Mandiri awarded its US$30 million creative business to be split between Fortune, First Edition and Dentsu. Currently, Fortune handles mass banking, including savings products and e-banking.This is believed to be the most lucrative part of the business, while First Edition handles the credit cards account. Dentsu handles the corporate account, as well as commercial and corporate banking.

It is understood that Fortune was not invited to pitch.

With a total asset value estimated at IDR300 trillion (US$33.7 billion), Bank Mandiri is one of the largest banks in Indonesia.
